Northstar Travel & Associates Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between 672835 Ontario Ltd., doing business as Northstar Travel & Associates, the customer, and any individual on whose behalf the customer requests the Agency to arrange or book travel services.
Please carefully review the Terms and Conditions outlined below. Any reservation made with Northstar Travel & Associates through our team of independent travel advisors constitutes a binding agreement signifying your acceptance of, and the agreement to follow and be bound by them.
The Travel Services
Northstar Travel & Associates’ sole objective is to assist customers in verifying the availability of travel products and services and in making bookings and purchases in due form. These travel services will be set out on the itinerary/invoice provided to the purchaser.
Be sure to read the supplier’s complete terms and conditions associated with your booking. Many packages and cruise bookings become totally non-refundable and non-changeable as you move closer to departure. Trip Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
No price increases are permitted after the customer has paid in full. If the price increase is more than 7% (except increases resulting from an increase in GST/PST/HST), the customer has the right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund
Customer Responsibility
Customer and others on the Booking must review and verify all details set out on the Booking and any other itineraries and/or invoices immediately upon receipt from Agent and must immediately advise Agent of any errors or omissions.
Customer acknowledges that the customer and others on the Booking have been directed to review the terms and conditions of the suppliers of the travel services included in the Booking.
Customer accepts full responsibility for identifying and obtaining all the passports, visas, permissions and/or other documents required for your travel.
Customer acknowledges that travel insurance has been offered and explained. Northstar Travel & Associates strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance, including cancellation insurance and out-of-province health insurance. Northstar Travel offers Manulife Global Insurance for purchase for residents of Canada. A wide range of plans are available, including but not limited to the Premium Protection Plan, Emergency Medical Plans and Trip Cancellation & Interruption plans. Cancellation and/or extended emergency medical insurance is strongly recommended when travelling out of province.
Travel Documents
When travelling outside of Canada, all Canadian passengers require a valid passport. Most countries require passports to be valid for 6 months beyond the expected return date.
Some countries may also have visa requirements for entry. Any fees to obtain visas or additional travel documentation that may be required are the responsibility of the traveller.
Entry into another country cannot be guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the local authorities. Northstar Travel & Associates takes no responsibility for a customer being denied entry into another country. Cancellation charges and any additional fees will be at the customer’s expense.
It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain and to have in their possession all the required documentation to travel (such as passports, visas where applicable, etc.) required by the relevant governmental authorities, for themselves and passengers in their care. Note that the documents required for the outbound portion of your travel may differ from those required for the return.
Northstar Travel is not responsible for any missing or inappropriate documents. Failure to have proper travel documents may result in denied boarding and automatic cancellation of your reservation without refund. For more information, visit https://travel.gc.ca
Outside of Canada, living standards and local practices, as well as conditions with respect to the provision of services and accommodation, may differ from those to which you are accustomed in Canada.
Liability
Northstar Travel & Associates acts as travel advisors only. Most products, if not all, are provided by third-party travel suppliers, including, but not limited to, airlines, hotels, car rentals, wholesalers, tour operators, insurance suppliers, etc. Personal information and payments for your travel booking provided to Northstar Travel & Associates are shared with the travel suppliers to confirm your booking. As Northstar Travel & Associates acts solely as an agent of the travel supplier, confirmation of services binds you to the terms and conditions of the supplier.
Northstar Travel & Associates cannot be held liable by you or your fellow travellers for the services rendered, and/or the products offered, by such third-party providers. Northstar Travel & Associates shall not be liable and assumes no risk for the obligations, or any default or negligence, of third-party providers and for any damages including, among other things, damages due to delay, cancellation, loss of goods, sickness, injury, accident, quality of services, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment, acts of God or force majeure.
Applicable Laws
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
